Permanence

In October 2020, during a gap in periods of national lockdown due to Covid-19, Shelley visited a beach in Cornwall which was framed by rock formations with vibrant colours, layers and markings.

β€œIn that snapshot of time during the height of the pandemic, we were brutally confronted by the fragility of human life. But standing in front of these rocks, formed millions of years ago, I felt oddly comforted by the rocks longevity, survival and sense of permanence.”
